The Robinhood Effect!

Social reactions are hot and heaving all across the United States. Let us just remember that term: “United” States. There are 50 states in this Union – and there is a divide between the States with large cities and the more rural areas of the country. Why?

In larger cities – there are many socio-economically poor segments of our society. They are preyed upon by greedy business people for food, rent, services, and other areas of life. There are many other reasons why people flock to cities as it is the easiest way to take advantage of others through competition for jobs and money.

Thus, the states with larger cities need more social services than other states. And yet, we are 50 United States – meaning those states where less is needed – must end up paying for the states who have more needs. This is the “Robin Hood Effect” – Take from those who have and give to those who need. (or in many cases, those who take rather than put forth the disciplined effort to work for a living)

Just look at the States with the most needs – California, New York – look at the newest programs designed to give to those who want more but are unable to work for more. There is a reciprocal effect as well – those same people who are provided for by the government, and those who benefit from doing the providing. (yes there are many business owners who benefit from Government Programs – if you think every dollar taken from tax payers goes directly to those with needs – you are mistaken. A large percentage goes through companies who lobby the politicians to create the Government funded programs – so they can take a share.)

So – where is it evident – just look at California – the state is having a boom year for taxes (Even though hundreds of thousands of working people are leaving the state). Thus, the state has a surplus. Instead of reducing the tax burden on those paying – the state has decided to give a “rebate” check to millions of people in California – but – who gets the money? It isn’t a rebate because the people paying the money are not going to get relatively any back. Here is the program:

***Taxpayers will receive a portion of California’s record-setting $97 billion budget surplus as the funds would only go to residents who make a certain amount of money each year.

As part of the plan, state officials reached a compromise as the money will go to taxpayers instead of only to vehicle owners as the checks will be larger than legislative leaders had initially proposed.

Lower- and middle-income Californians will likely get the most help. The less amount of money those residents make annually means the more gas stimulus money they will get from the state. ***

The Robin Hood Effect. What are the consequences? – You are giving money to people rather than teaching them to work for goods and services. You are creating additional generations of children who won’t believe in discipline for work, who will simply expect the government to give them money. And they will continue to vote for those who hand out the pittance. This my friends is what Socialism is all about. Just look at how power has corrupted – look at Ocatez (14th District Rep from NY) She changed from a lively young person to a flashy, arrogant, know-it-all. Power corrupts!

What is our answer? – Start with term limits, develop programs to provide funds for people who earn those funds (Yes there are emergency and limited time needed for transition – which is why things such as unemployment for 6 months was created. (But not 2-4 years of unemployment!)

When will the United States take the best from each State and adapt for their own citizens? When will States develop programs to help put people back to work – those who have chosen to not work. When will people learn – just because you see something on TV, Phone, or Computer doesn’t mean that is the norm and should be expected for everyone. Most of what you see – is people who worked for where they are. Then there are the fictitious people who have chosen the Robin Hood path of fooling others just to get their money (or vote)
