VP Harris and Immigration – are we really doing what should be done?

Pressing issue for the Vice President? – “The news is reporting – The VP is working on the root cause of immigration.” https://www.yahoo.com/…/confusion-clouds-harris…

This graphic answers the whole question: https://en.wikipedia.org/…/List_of_American_countries…

or see Monthly minimum wage – https://www.statista.com/…/latin-america-minimum…/

When the United States Government gives away $1,400 checks, or if previously employed an extra $300-400 per week above what states provide for unemployment. And, an average of $125 per month for SNAP (Multiply this per person in household!) And when you consider the average daily wage in Mexico is about 141 Pesos ($7.35 – That is PER DAY)How many people want this per hour – and in cash?? Not to mention – free education and medical if not showing an income.

And, consider in Central & South America, and the Caribbean – there is over 650,500,000 people (If census taking is considered accurate in these countries) If only 1% of these people moved to the US – that would be equal to the 18th largest State.

Now also consider – that in 2019 officially legal residence status was provided to only 461,741 people (in total) from the Americas (156,062 from Mexico) In the US Today – the estimate is 44,932,799 – total Foreign Born “Legal” citizens in the US. *(This would equal the 33rd Largest Country – in the WORLD)

Recap: The VP is supposed to “get to the root of the problem” on immigration. First – is there a problem? – Shouldn’t we consider allowing people to migrate to the US? – The question is – can we handle the influx (Hit to Resources, Culture Conflicts, and Criminal intent)

Let’s venture to say – anyone coming to the US has a very good reason – Opportunity – Just like hundreds of thousands of people “Borrowing” money to go to college – they want opportunity for a better life. Yet – the costs? – What is the root of the problem is – other countries are not investing in their own economic development, their own citizen opportunities. How many schools are built, how much is invested in education?

Now look at US foreign policy? – The US sends only about $47 billion per year as “Foreign Aid” (There are other programs – but these are listed as “Military and Economic”)

Look at the top ten list (35% of total) – Only Columbia from the Americas is listed.

Afghanistan ($4.89 billion) Israel ($3.3 billion) Jordan ($1.72 billion) Egypt ($1.46 billion) Iraq ($960 million) Ethiopia ($922 million) Yemen ($809 million) Colombia ($800 million) Nigeria ($793 million) Lebanon ($790 million)

You can bet most of this is Military. While there is instability around the world – most of this would be political spending. If only 10% of the Socialist Democrats spending plans were to go towards schools (and funds invested to guarantee payments to teachers and facility maintenance) – That would be $200 Billion.

By the way – a 2 room school in Honduras only costs about $25,000 to build – https://friendsofhondurasusa.org/ The root of the problem – people want to leave their homes – leave their family – because there is no opportunity in the Western Hemisphere other than the US and Canada. Mexico, Central, and South America should change – but will they?

We have politicians such as Ocatez (Ocasio-Cortez) who bellyache about things the US is doing or not doing – when those she supposedly represents – have distant families living in abject poverty. (Her parents are descendent from Puerto Rico – and Ocatez can claim any historical blood lines she wants – as she claims to be descendent from Jews living in Spain who were persecuted during the inquisition – her behavior has nothing to do with more than her parents raising her in the Bronx – giving her a good life, sending her to college – where she once worked for Ted Kennedy’s office – (not TK himself – but his campaign office.)

Our representatives make noise to get re-elected – but what real difference are they doing for our lives? – Giving away our tax dollars – but is it really helping? Maybe a foreign policy away from military and more towards education might just help the rest of the world.

But then, there is a Democratic Philosophy that started after the US Civil War – (Learned from the Republican party in charge at the time!) “Keep people confused, downtrodden, and dependent upon the government, and tell them what they want to hear – and you win votes!”

The root of the problem – stop people from wanting to leave their homes for opportunity. How – help create opportunity in the Americas.
