By all accounts, VP Biden will be the President of the US in 2021. (Seriously folks, it is near to impossible even to consier turning around votes in 4 states – the hill is too steep to even consider climbing. Time to move forward with Congress)
So – moving forward – There is a bill introduced by the Senate that offers many of the provisions proposed in the $2 trillion bill desired by the House.
Let’s consider – the sitting President (Trump) says he would sign the bill proposed by the Senate. (HE WOULD SIGN IT)
But the House wants everything now? Why? – Why can’t the house wait until January when the White House will be occupied by a Democrat (Same as the controlling faction in the House) – and propose their additional spending programs?? – Why?
Why not just take what you can get now – have the President sign it – and move on to the next year?
The House wants a Steak Dinner, the Senate is offering a Pizza. The citizens of the US – just want to eat!
This is why people don’t like or trust the US political system. Did you know that if you exclude the very liberal State of California, the Republicans received more votes than Democrats in the Presidential election? (Truth!) – And California which had millions more votes for the Democratic nominee – is also the state that is over $500 Billion in debt – and gave over $1billion in Covid Relief funds to their incarcerated prisoners. (Yes, read about it! https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2020-11-24/california-has-sent-jobless-benefits-to-death-row-inmates) I know many in California are incensed by such actions – yet that is how the state flows!
So – We have half the country (Excluding CA) that voted Republican an the other half voted Democratic – But party politics does not guarantee work, food, or health.
Write to your Congressman, email them, call their offices – tell them – “Feed us” – “Give us a break” – “Stop the nonsense”
Oh – and just so you know – I won’t get a penny – just like last round – I saw no covid benefits. I know many who did and they are the ones I’m supporting – not the politicians!
