The news media (ie. entertainment media) loves to cover the darling for Socialism in the US – Rep Ocasio-Cortez. Who was recently re-elected to NY’s 14th district – with a whopping 105,455 votes!

Thus, the bartender turned politician believes she has a mandate to tell everyone in the United States how they should live their lives and how business should be run – because just over 100,000 people in the 14th district voted for her.

Perspective:
The 14th District has a population of 696,664 in which 78% are voting age. (over 543,000) – only 154,000 people voted.
(Note: while this doesn’t really matter – only 22% of the district is listed as “white”)
63% of district households make more than $50,000 per year.

Now – for the Nov 2020 election:
Ocasio-Cortez raised just over $18 million (yes 18 Million while the average Congress candidate raised about 3.4 Mil)
Her campaign spent $13,867,000 Million for this election – that equates to: $131.50 per vote!

That may not seem like a lot – but most of the money raised came from out of District donors.

So – who bought the seat? (Largest Donors? – Alphabet, University of California, and the City of NY) – really? – The city of NY? – Hmmm?

While $13 million of her campaign funds came from small donors (under $200 each) – this only means – the balance of $4.5 million not spent – is hers! – If she retired from the House tomorrow – she would be able to keep the Millions!

Now that seems like the Lottery win!
