Perspective – A person in France – with a knife and air gun – yelling at police, refused to surrender or drop his weapons – and then was killed by the police.

Does this sound like an incident in the US? Of course there is a difference – (unbeknown to the Police when they shot the person) – following the incident, the police found the beheaded body of a “teacher”
So, Police in France do carry guns, and they do shoot people who are potentially dangerous to others (carrying a knife and air gun) – In this case – this person was dangerous to society.
And, the person did have a history with police due to petty crimes. (But he was not in jail for some reason?)
Things to consider – he was an immigrant who most likely did not adapt to his new country’s norms (ie. you don’t kill someone because they talk about freedom of expression, and show cartoons, even if the message is offensive!) – Please take note US residents (specifically Californian’s and News media) who get “offended” by what politicians, and some people say.
What do we see here? – Someone with a weapon – ignoring police and is shot. How would police know he was or was not dangerous to others? – They made the call and it turns out – he was dangerous to others – but it was too late for the teacher!
Is there a moral here? – Can we learn from this?
